As a part of her doctoral capstone, Natalie Carden, an occupational therapy student at the University of Central Arkansas, created this study group for students in Arkansas wanting to pursue a career in hand therapy following graduation.
She had a vision for a group that would increase awareness and understanding of hand therapy for students no matter where they are at in their education. Whether preparing for fieldwork or looking to begin your career in hand therapy, this group has something to offer everyone and will help members form relationships with students and therapists across the state. Helping Hands focuses on making hand therapy easier to understand and less daunting with monthly meetings focusing on a wide range of topics.
